Join us on Zoom on 10 April. Meeting passcode: 466827

Join us to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery guided by the academic experts behind Una Europa’s Future Materials Focus Area. Let’s come together to envision more sustainable futures built using the materials of tomorrow!

Registration is not required - simply join the Zoom call on the specified dates to get involved!

The webinar series continues with an exploration of Una Europa's Future Materials Focus Area. The term “Future Materials” refers to any material expected to be developed or become prominent in the future. Such materials may be the product of innovations in sustainability, possess advanced or novel properties, or offer advantages to specific applications over currently available materials.

This webinar features Pedro Camargo, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet. His research interests include the synthesis of nanomaterials for nanocatalysis and plasmonic nanocatalysis. Professor Camargo’s presentation, “Materials Research at University of Helsinki” will offer insights into materials research at Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet and present his own research.

Joining him is Dr Georgi Popov, also from Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet. Dr Popov is a post-doc at the HelsinkiALD research group at the Department of Chemistry at Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet. He has developed atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes for eight years and worked in the field of photovoltaics for more than 10 years. His presentation is titled, “Quest for the solar crown: delivering the potential of halide perovskites with atomic layer deposition”.
