Join us online to explore the stories that make us with an open session organised as part of the Una Europa Student Congress 2023: Sharing and shaping our joint Una Europa story.
Una Europa community members are warmly welcome to join the event virtually. There is also a possibility to contribute to the discussion through chat during the event.
This event brings together students from our 11 partner universities, as well as members of the Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet university community and members of the public to share ideas about the intersection of identity, belonging, culture, student identity, and tradition through storytelling.
The event aims to explore the stories we tell ourselves and how these stories are linked and separate, act as bridges and dividers, create shared identities and unique ones. Through two sets of organic conversations, speakers will explore questions such as:
- What makes you belong to a place and how do you build that connection?
- How might we have different experiences of a place and consider the values or things that define that place in different ways?
- What defines us?
The discussions will feature students from Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet and our Una Europa partner universities, a member of the university community, and a representative from one of the local organisations partnering with the Una Europa Student Congress. Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet Vice-Rector Kai Nordlund will open the event by sharing his own story.
This event is organised in the framework of the Una Europa Student Congress 2023 at Helsingin yliopisto/ Helsingfors universitet, part of the community-building formats initiated under 1Europe and developed under Una.Futura.
