From 21–25 October 2024, Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie will host the Una Europa Staff Week 2024, "Embracing AI for Professional Development”, an experience designed to empower professional services staff from Una Europa universities with the knowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of higher education in the digital age.
What are the goals of the Staff Week?
Through a carefully developed programme of workshops, lectures, networking events, and cultural activities, participants will embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and personal growth. During Una Europa Staff Week 2024, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Discover the secrets of AI
Learn how AI can assist in daily work at universities, what policies apply in our institutions, and what the latest trends in this field are.
- Share practices and experiences
Through discussions, workshops, and practical exercises, participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with professionals from other Una Europa universities.
- Build collaborations
Numerous networking meetings will provide an opportunity to make new acquaintances and collaborate with colleagues from across Europe.
- Explore Kraków and discover Polish culture and language
Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic Polish phrases and explore the enchanting corners of Kraków and the Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie.
The Una Europa Staff Week 2024 is not only an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills but also a chance to build lasting collaborations with colleagues from other Una Europa universities.

How do I apply?
- Apply to participate in the Una Europa Staff Week 2024 by 3 June.
- Participant selection will be made by Una Europa universities by 25 June 2024.
Please note: Each of our Una Europa partner universities reserves the right to close the application earlier if they receive a large number of applications. It’s best to send your application sooner than later. Applying doesn’t mean that you will automatically be accepted.
Are there any requirements to participate?
The Una Europa Staff Week is an opportunity for professional services staff at Una Europa partner universities.
The Staff Week will be conducted in English, so English Level B2 or higher is required.
How is the Staff Week funded?
The Una Europa Staff Week 2024 is free of charge for eligible participants. Contact your Una Europa local team for further funding details.
The Una Europa Staff Week format was initiated under the 1Europe project and developed as part of the activities on Empowering Staff under the Una.Futura project.
