Check out this opportunity to explore the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and creativity, connect with doctoral researchers and established academics from across Una Europa, and develop transdisciplinary knowledge that could significantly contribute to your research.
The Summer School will tackle these topics using a systematic and transdisciplinary approach including challenge-based learning, doctoral workshops, and meetings with experts and artists.
The Una Europa Summer School on Artificial Intelligence and Creativity will bring together doctoral researchers from various disciplines – such as computer science, engineering, arts, design, law or humanities – who are eager to expand their knowledge of AI and its applications in creative domains. It also intends to gather creative professionals and academics, who wish to incorporate AI tools and techniques into their work and stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and creativity.
Why should I apply to this Una Europa Summer School?
During the Una Europa Summer School on AI and creativity you will:
- Expand your knowledge of AI beyond your initial academic research.
- Discover AI’s applications in creative domains.
- Enhance your presentation and communication skills.
- Build your professional international network.
Doctoral researchers are expected to be active participants by contributing to the programme with insights from their studies and research.
What can I expect from the Summer School?
The Summer School will be held on-site at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne's Campus Condorcet (Aubervilliers) near Paris, France, from the 7–11 July.
The programme includes an online pre-meeting and introduction courses on 5 and 10 June, followed by a week of courses, workshops and meetings with artists in Paris.
Beyond the academic agenda, participants can look forward to social activities and a museum visit.
After successfully completing the course, students will earn 4 ECTS.
What is the cost of the Summer School?
There is no tuition fee for participants. Each participant is responsible for organising and financing their own accommodation for the duration of the Summer School in Paris.
In the spirit of furthering collaborations between students from different countries, we have secured a number of shared rooms on campus. Rooms are available from Sunday 6 until Saturday 12 July. Each shared room costs €230 per student for the duration of the Summer School (including tourist tax). The teachers will be accommodated in the same location.
Please note: Doctoral researchers from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne are not eligible for the on-campus housing.
At most Una Europa partner universities, doctoral researchers can apply for Erasmus+ funding for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) from their own university. Please note that the availability of funding depends on your home university. They will advise you on the availability and format of funding. Please contact your university’s institutional contact at the list below for more information on funding options.
