Join us online for a highlight of the Una Europa General Assembly hosted by Universität Zürich – a panel discussion exploring, 'Building Resilience through One Health'.

Una Europa Talks are specifically designed to foster meaningful dialogue between academia and the public, aligning with our alliance's core mission to shape a University of the Future. For this Una Europa Talk, leading experts in the field of One Health will share ideas and discuss the crucial importance of interdisciplinary approaches to tackling global challenges.

Meet our speakers

The Una Europa Talk will open with a welcome by Prof. Michael Schaepman, President Universität Zürich.

The panel discussion will feature the following speakers:

  • Dr. Andrew D. Kambugu, Executive Director of the Uganda Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University
  • Prof. Andrea Winkler, Co-Director at the Centre for Global Health at the Technische Universität München and Professor for Global Health at Universitet i Oslo
  • Prof. Owen Petchey, Director of the URPP Global Change and Biodiversity, Universität Zürich
  • Prof. Elisabeth Stark, Vice President Research, Universität Zürich and member of the Una Europa Board of Directors
  • Prof. Bruno González Zorn, Head of Antimicrobial Resistance Unit, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Chair of the Una Europa One Health Focus Area

The panel discussion will be moderated by Eveline van Rijswijk, science communicator.
