Una Europa for Society: Showcase of Una Europa's outreach events in 2024

Societal engagement is an important anchor of higher education for our alliance. Our Una Europa Lecture Series spotlighted topics like sports, museums, urban wildlife, green and healthy cities, and legislation on artificial intelligence. Our lectures brought together experts from our partner universities and interested members of the public to learn about our cities, universities, and our alliance.

Other formats focused on open knowledge sharing, such as our webinar series on “Discovering the Materials of Tomorrow”, or our Una Europa PhD Impact Award which showcased the potential that the work of early-career researchers from our alliance can have on society in fields like biomedical engineering, computer science, and many more. We celebrated the European Day of Languages as an alliance who is committed to multilingualism. And we learned about a literally live-saving citizen science project in our Una Europa Podcast series.

Our dialogue with society and stakeholders from various fields of higher education is important to us, which is why it is invaluable for Una Europa to build bridges and strengthen connections by participating in events like the annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
