Una Europa Lifelong Learning Certificates
The Una Europa Lifelong Learning Certificates are our reply to the increasing demand for continuous education on specific societal challenges.
Our certificates are unique in providing a truly transnational learning environment where individual courses offered by the Una Europa partners are mutually recognised as building blocks of a joined programme. On successful completion, participants obtain a joint Una Europa certificate.
Our Life Long Learning programmes of 4ECTS are open to students as well as professionals. Formats are short and flexible to allow for combination with professional activity. They are typically delivered as a combination of:
- Short online courses;
- Live-streamed lectures;
- Local face-to-face meetings at students’ university of choice;
- Virtual international meetings;
- Selected short physical mobility abroad.
Three Focus Areas
Una Europa Lifelong Learning Certificates will be offered in three of our Focus Areas.
- The Certificate in Data Science and AI will focus on an integrative approach to the field, drawing on Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Linguistics, Psychology and Law.
- The Certificate in Sustainability covers theoretical concepts linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, related indicators and compliance issues as well as measures facilitating the implementation of the UN’s 2030 agenda.
- The Certificate in Cultural Heritage puts emphasis on practical techniques as well as theoretical background for the application of Cultural Heritage to fields of Urban Studies, Tourism, Fine Arts, Museology and Cultural Management.

In joining forces, Una Europa partners achieve multiple benefits and manage to:
- Enrich the offer in continuous education by delivering a hands-on international perspective on complex global challenges;
- Extend the overall offer in continuous education by drawing on efficiency gains resulting from the smart re-combination of existing formats;
- Attract a wider and more international group of participants;
- Establish and deepen collaboration with other institutions, e.g. companies involved in programme development and teaching;
- Facilitate mobility of teaching staff, with potential spillover effects, for instance, in joint research.
Now open: Lifelong Learning Certificate in Data Science and AI
Tailored to businesses seeking to invest in data science, this course will equip professionals with the skills to understand data-driven decision-making, influence the ways in which data is used in organisations, and interact effectively with technical data science teams.
This initiative is developed under our 1Europe project, in three Focus Areas: Cultural Heritage, Sustainability as well as Data Science and AI.
